Adventures in Animation
At Cromwell Valley Elementary
For Grades: 4 and 5
Times: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
[ After-School in the CVE Art Room ][ Thursdays, Oct 13th through Dec 15th 2011 ]
This 9 week class is designed for the skills and attention span typical of 4th and 5th graders. Adventures in Animation is ideal for any student with interest in video editing, photography, building model characters out of clay, special effects, and of course animating.
Instruction by Johnny Rogers of the San Francisco Art Institute.
Students will create hands-on animation projects collaboratively with other classmates. We will use a range of materials from the classic clay to legos, toys, cut-out paper, and even ourselves! There will be opportunities to try out many of the different parts of animation including photography, plot development, sculpture, lighting, and of course animating itself. Everyone will leave with a DVD including all the shorts made by the class.

Please note that class size is limited and expected to fill quickly. Completed registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis until the class is filled. Registration must be accompanied by payment to be considered complete. Students unable to be accommodated this fall will be given first priority next session, in the order registrations are received.
