Towsontowne Girls Basketball Registration:
The girls program will be broken into the following age groups.
6-7 Year Olds: Young Ladies in the first or second grade will practice and play for one hour on Saturday afternoons at either 2, 3 ,4 at the Ridge Ruxton School. The season will begin in mid November and end in mid February. Evaluations will take place in mid November.
8 Year Olds: They will practice and play once a week on Saturday afternoons for one hour at the Ridge Ruston School at either 2, 3, 4, or 5. Evaluations will take place in mid November. Eight year olds who desire to play 9-10 should send an email to Cliff Gilllespie at cliffg@comcast.net. You will be invited to the 9-10 evaluations in late October.
9-10 Year Olds: In-house players will have evaluations in late October/Early November. Team practices will begin in mid-November. In total there will be about 12 practices during the season. Practices will be scheduled for Thursday evenings. Players will be notified as to time and place. In house games will be played on Saturday afternoon at either 2,3,4 or 5 at a site to be determined. Evaluations will take place in late October/early November at St. Timothy’s School. You will be notified as to the time and date.
11-12 Year Olds: This program will be determined by the number of registrations. Last year we split the 11 year olds into their own league, and moved the 12 year olds to play with the 13/14 year olds. Our decision this year will be based on the volume of registrations. Games will be played on Saturdays at mid day at Carver. Practices will be determined after we received the registrations. Evaluations will take place in late October/early November at St. Timothy’s school. Players will be notified as to time and date.
13-14 Year Olds: Refer to 11-12 Year Olds Program.
Travel: All girls who play travel must play in house. Travel practices will be on Monday or Thursday evenings at St. Timothy’s School.If you have specific questions, please email the Program Director, Cliff Gillespie at cliffg@comcast.net
THE AGE DETERMINATION DATE - JANUARY 1, 2012. The girls can play rec basketball and have an opportunity to try out for travel basketball. All girls that play travel basketball must play rec. basketball. Towsontowne Recreation Office 410-887-5913.
