Junior Indoor League

The Baltimore Tennis Patrons will be forming Fall & Winter indoor instructional and team tennis programs for Baltimore City and Baltimore County boys and girls 4th grade through 12th grade, post-beginner through tournament levels. The programs are conducted on weekends October through March.

The programs include travel teams that will represent Baltimore in the USA Tennis Junior Indoor Leagues, and instructional programs for less experienced players. Program sites include Merritt Athletic at Bare Hills, Greenspring Racquet Club, Forty West Racquet Club, Cross Keys Tennis Club and Orchard Racquet Club.

Interested youth should come ready to hit balls to Cross Keys Tennis Club, 4 Hamil Court, Baltimore, MD on Thursday, September 10, 6:00-8:00pm OR Orchard Indoor Tennis Club, Sunday, September 13, 2:00-4:00pm.   You do not need to pre-register for the evaluations.

Program information

Beginner/Advanced Beginner Tennis:  Learn to Improve Fast!
Featuring the games based approach to learning the basics in play situations from the get-go.  Instant fun, learning, exercise and success.  Family classes where adults and children take their lesson at the same time but on different courts.  Adults are grouped together and kids are grouped together on separate courts.

Cardio Tennis:  Heart Pumping, Full Body Fitness. 
Featuring drills to give you an ultimate high-energy workout complete with loaner heart monitors.  Each class includes warm-up, a non-stop cardio workout and cool down.  If you want to find a great new way to get in shape, burn calories, all while playing turbo style with friends – you've found it.  Improve your game with non-stop movement while burning calories. 
Important Cardio Tennis Registrants: Players currently under the care of a physician, please consult with your physician who may want to give you a heart range to stay under or within.

Learn to Play Doubles:  Play Actual Games While You Learn
Learn the skills and strategy of rallying, serving and return serve, and playing at the net.
