Snow Policy- If Baltimore County Schools close early for the day, or are closed for the day, we are canceled. If snow emergency plan Phase 1 or 2 is in effect, we are canceled.
Remember, sometimes it is better to forfeit a match than to be in an accident.

TOURNAMENT


Towsontowne 2006 Adult Volleyball League Rules

  1. $90.00 registration is due by the first regular season game. Rosters are due in at the first match.  Rosters are frozen by the fourth week. Make checks payable to Towsontowne Recreation Council.
  2. Officials’ fees of  $20.00/team, per 5 game match are to be paid prior to the start of the match.  There will be one paid official per match.  Two volunteers are recommended for each game for line judges.  The semi-finals and finals in the tournament may have two officials; therefore, your official’s fee will remain $20.00.  Other tournament games will have a $12.00 official’s fee.  A forfeit fee of $40.00 will be collected from each team at the beginning of the season.  If used, it must be replaced before the next scheduled game.  Forfeit fees, if not used, will be refunded the first night of the tournament.  Registration and forfeit fees may be issued in one check.
  3. Awards are contingent upon the year-end budget.
  4. All games must begin with at least 5 players and at least 1 player must be female.
  5. All games will be rally score.  First 4 games to 25, 5th game 15 points.  Tournament play will be best 2 out of 3.  Third game 15-point rally.
  6. Receiving team will rotate for first serve.
  7. We will be using USAVB Rules.  This is a 4-man 2 women league (3 and 3 is allowed).  You may not substitute a male for a female or vice versa.  No back row blocking.  Let rule on serve will apply.
  8. In the event of a league tie for first place head to head competition will settle the tie. 
  9. Each team must supply own practice ball(s).
  10. Each team must be sure that correct scores have been posted after each match.  Each player must sign in before every match.  The sign sheet will be at the official’s stand.  Players must play at least two weeks to qualify for tournament.  The standing sheet will be posted beside the stage on the wall.
  11. Forfeit time is game time for the first game of the match.  Ten minutes for second and third game.  The entire match is forfeited after thirty minutes.
  12. All players must be 18 years old or over.
  13. Children must be supervised at all times or their parents will be asked to escort them out of the building.  Would like all children kept on the stage.
  14. There will be no food or drinks allowed in the building.  Pets are not allowed in the building.
